Tales beyond the Water
Ann Grim, in her exhibition at the Aquarium de Paris «Beyond the depths» makes us dive to the heart of our human consciousness faced to the lack of boundaries, of limits to the voracious destruction since the beginning of the era industrial.
Her sculpture of a shark fin has the sweetness of a «skin» to the metal reflections. Immersed in the depths of the Great Basin of the sharks, it bears the imprint of a man’s thumb and thus anchors the striking parallel between the image of the shark and the predatory actions of our contemporary society.
This is a real volcanic inversion emerging from the sand for an ascent of the snorkeling humanity by defying all dangers by its own purity.
