Jaime Hayón says

Holding high color, he is considered the «Almodovar of design», but left Spain soon to create his own language. He pursued his Deco Arts studies in Paris and flew to Italy, where he became the very young artistic director of the Benetton communication research center, the «Fabrica», imagined by photographer Oliviero Toscani.
