Fascinated by the spectacle of nature over time and seasons, Jan Dilenschneider has been painting since the age of 12, time of her first «serious» work as she calls it, smiling.
At 17, when she exhibited her first paintings in a contest, Roy Lichtenstein, president of the Jury, helped her with simplicity to hang her painting
« The Bereaved» for which he awarded her a prize.
