«Puzzle Paintings» Micha Christos
Of Danish origin, Christina Holdgaard has created a pictorial world, voluntarily pop at the rhythm of her «Puzzle Paintings».With this term she describes her own work as thorough as playful. Her works always start by photographs that she captures of her models in order to reconstruct in her imaginary universe their portraits with small flat areas of color mono- chrome.
Her hyper contemporary style borrows equally from computer technology as geological maps of the catalogue of Ingres.
