Robert Piquet, fashion designer somewhat forgotten after its heyday in the ‘30s, returns to the front of the scene with this beautiful book dedicated to his work and to man. He had a «signature», a recognizable style. And that was coupled with a crea- tive esthete, collector and friend of artists since the time he held a vanguard gallery at the Avenue Montaigne, just before working with Paul Poiret, who gave him a chance before he decided to open his own Couture house. He has dressed in a glamorous and supremely elegant style not only as well as Florence Gould, the famous American, but also as well as the young actresses like Michèle Morgan. Although discreet, he did no less than the least one of Monsieur Christian Dior masters.
To be enjoyed without moderation.
