Vasonaso is the new artistic adventure of the Italian designer Matteo Cibic.
Everyday, from 1 January, 2016 and during 365 days, he designs and produces a single ceramic vase, a nose-shaped vase, which is numbered and sold
at 1.00 pm daily on his website.
The project starts from a formal and chromatic research and quickly becomes a relational and sociological one.
Each vase has its own nose with its personality, its character and soul.
Its characteristics make it unique and mark its various relationships with its congeners.
These anthropomorphic objects look more or less friendly, more or less elegant or extroverted.
Female or male nose, small, big, pointy, thin or twisted ... the vase changes in expression. As in any society, it behaves as humans and it establishes reporting relationships with love, indifference or competition.
Inspired by the work of the painter Giorgio Morandi (1890-1964), the project takes the concept of still life mostly made of bottles and pottery, but always identical in different poses with an obsessive and repetitive research in color.
The Matteo Cibic vases are adorned with Pantone 2016, very soft pastels for decorative elements with a living communication and an infectious smile.
