The Eric Dupont gallery exhibits in Paris a series of recent paintings by Paul Pagk, artist born to a Czech father and an English mother, a painter herself, who has initiated him. Paul Pagk now lives in New York after
having studied in the ‘80s at the Beaux Arts in Paris.
It was at this time that the young artist discovered the works of German artists such as Blinky Palermo, Imi Knoebel and Joseph Beuys that will determine his choice of the «Way» of abstract painting.
In the line of Malevich through the Russian Constructivists like El Lissitzky and the Bauhaus of Joseph Albers, Donald Judd, Sol LeWitt, Pagk Paul
is certainly one worthy as their spiritual heir.
