Epoch immortalized by the inevitable film «Funny face» when Fred Astaire embodies the famous photographer on the screen facing the equally unforgettable Audrey Hepburn. At this time, Richard Avedon encountered the biggest French celebrities of whom he will make iconic portraits.
Back in 1968, he devoted himself to the monograph of another photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue. With his book «Diary of a Century», he inscribed the work of Lartigue at the pantheon of twentieth century history.
The exhibition draws the «France of Avedon» by following the curves of the exceptional career of the photographer through French culture.
