Contrary to the legend of the angelic creatures, this divinity features clearly visible sexual attributes, a wink that has fun in more ways than one, for Oscar Wilde on his cloud.
Personality, and the works of Oscar Wilde myth inspired, inspire and always inspire Arts. His image adorns the famous paintings.
He appears on the back of the shack of the Goulue of Toulouse-Lautrec and at the foreground, left, of the Moorish Dance Musée d’Orsay.
The Wilde portraits - photographs, cartoons, paintings - the pre-Raphae- lite paintings by Watts, Hunt and Burne-Jones, who held with his eyes of art criticism the «three golden keys that open the door of the House of beauty», and also manuscripts and rare editions, letters and excerpts from these major works, including «The Portrait of Dorian Gray» and «The Importance of being Earnest» are accompanied by contributions from French, English and American specialists illuminating the different facets of the Irish writer.
