Natural beauties and glorious past fill this land of history with Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Venetian accents.
The city of Split, capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia, deserves its fame with its ancient monuments, its Diocletian’s Palace, its churches and fortifications.
It has retained all its charm with its narrow streets and lively squares and never tires of being visited both for its architecture and for its gastronomic delights.
From its marvelously preserved harbor despite centuries, catamarans and ferries sail to the islands of Hvar, Braç and Vis.
Of the 1244 islands on the Croatian coast, only 50 are inhabited.
Hvar and Braç have been resorts since antiquity. Close to each other, these islands have the same assets, from the Emerald Sea to the smile of their inhabitants, but still retain their own identities.
The arrival by boat in Hvar is unique. The beautifully preserved port sees the facades of its Venetian houses reflected in the water gracefully, overloo- ked by a magnificent cathedral.
