In June 2019, the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design (Madd-Bordeaux) participated in the cultural season on the theme of Freedom. The paradoxical humor begins with the choice of the place of the exhibition which is located in an old prison. Founded by Ettore Sottsass in 1981, Memphis federated around its charismatic personality young architects and artists of all natio- nalities who dreamed of shattering the codes of modernity and rationalism.
