Innovative creator, caring about nature, she moves away from traditional materials to use chromed steel, aluminum, straw and bamboo.
Most of her objects with pure lines and metal become true icons of design as her libraries «Tunisia and Cloud» or her office «Boomerang».
They are so much ahead of their time, that today they are still edited by houses of decoration.
A great traveler, Charlotte Perriand left in 1940 for Tokyo as an industrial art consultant for the Japanese government.
This passion for Japanese sketch is found in many of her creations and in particular in her Tea House at Unesco.
She also finds new sources of inspiration in Vietnam and Brazil.
Always in flight, her partnership with Air France is obvious and she realizes several of their agencies in the world with the first workspace in open space.
