Since 2001, David Hockney has presented six exhibitions at Galerie Lelong & Co, the most recent of which is called «My Normandy».
The painter has produced around ten paintings and works on paper since he moved to Normandy in March 2019.
In October 2018, David Hockney stayed in Honfleur to go to Bayeux to receive the tapestry of Queen Mathilde. Fascinated by the graphic and narrative efficiency of this 11th century work that reminds him of ancient Chinese scrolls, he seeks and finds a house in the Normandy countryside.
