Miam was born in 1896 and, very quickly, it grew. The Miami Beach Bay Bridge built in 1915 accelerated the development of the city.
In the 1920s, the city experienced an incredible real estate boom, especially since it did not apply the prohibition laws.
The 1930s will be marked by depression and by a devastating hurricane.
The Art Deco District will kick off in 1935 the resumption of flourishing activities.
Miami became a Hispanic city due to the waves of immigration of Cubans who fled the regime of Fidel Castro in the ‘60s. South America gave its colors to Miami with the rhythm of its music and its cuisine. The Caribbean is omnipresent here with cigar factories, domino players and empanadas.
Miami has a thousand and one faces so downtown luxurious villas rub shoulders with skyscrapers and yachts. Star Island and Indian Creek are islands of billionaires punctuated with preserved islets to discover by boat near the lagoon. In the Design District, art reigns alongside luxury boutiques.A disreputable time, Wynwood, the district of Street Artists, is today in full evolution.
