«Folon Insolite », until September 29, 2024, will be held at Maison Autrique, a magnificent Art Deco residence in Schaerbeek. It was created in 1893 by the architect Victor Horta and recently restored. It presents within its walls a vast collection of more than 120 objects found by Folon.
From the cellar to the attic, the strangest things from his collection of milk jugs to his travel notebooks, from his letters to his toys speak of a little-known Folon who considered every everyday item as a support for his creativity, from labels of wine to the card games he liked to draw.
Finally, “Olivetti Folon”, until September 15, 2024, at the Design Museum Brussels, shows the importance of the collaboration between the artist and the Italian company famous for its typewriters.
A vast collection of posters, books, drawings and advertising products relate this partnership as prolific as it is poetic.
