More than two hundred paintings, drawings, watercolors are gathered at the Havre museum to showcase the work of Camille Corot, called «the king of the skies».
This Normandy sky, gray blue, dazzles with its weather beauties. A humble, sincere artist, someone pure, who found in the port landscape of Le Havre, in the docks, in the basins or the Normandy beaches an endless inspiration.
The figures in his paintings, as in the famous «La Plage de Trouville,» just appear as masks with blurred lines, granting less importance to the faces than to the light in all its forms.
