This lonely man, who loves above all to drown as deep as the bottom of shadow in order to encounter light and extract colors from the divine darkness, was nourished by the mystic work of George de La Tour and by the chiaroscuro of Caravaggio. He is fascinated by Dürer and Altdorfer, for the shaded effect of engraving. He recently also discover himself a passion for the unfortunately quite unknown Hercule Seghers. Like him, those artists also descended into the darkness in order to observe their souls and capture the pure essence of the brightness so as to reach the ultimate moment of eternity in temporality.
