Tanque Verde Ranch
When driving all the way down East Speedway Road in Tucson to the Rincon Mountains you will find The historic Tanque Verde Ranch. The name, «green pool», came from the time of the Pima Indians who found there a source of emerald green water. In 1868 it became the home of the Carrillo family, in 1957 Brownie Cote purchased the property. If you go on a breakfast ride you will be able to taste and enjoy one or more of Bob Cote’s famous blueberry pancakes, even on a rainy day. Mr Cote entered into the Dude Ranchers Hall of Fame last January 2012. Still in the cattle business, TVR is also welcoming guests from around the world: from Europe, Australia, Canada etc...Some have been visiting the ranch many times (in the ranch language it means more than 10 times) and some others like Angie from London many, many many times!
