Her Majesty the Rose
From his beginnings in 1947, Christian Dior was in love with the eighteenth century, the age of Enlightenment and of Marie Antoinette, symbol in his eyes of French taste for excellence. He decorated his fashion house in the Louis XVI style with medallion chairs, crystal chandeliers and roses.
