Camellia mythical flower
In the seventeenth century, Father George Joseph Camel brings this flower from the Orient and gives it his name in Latin: «Camellus.» The Empress Josephine launched this fashion trend which lasted until the Belle Époque. All the elegant women used to adorn their hats with some bouquets of Camellia and the men wore the single flower with these magnificent petals in their buttonholes.
