In 2006, her life takes a new turn as she finishes her internship
for Jean François Perena, in the South of France.
This alchemical encounter with the latter makes her want to catch up on her studies and thus she chooses the Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design (HEAD), in Genève, to be able to spread her wings later on. She passes with honors as major of the section Jewel Design, in 2010, and then develops her own label within the Design Incubator, cradle of the new-born enterprises of which she was a laureate.
Muriel Laurent designs jewels like she would make modern art. She developed a concept after having observed nature on a microscopic scale and drew a collection called «Philonotis» out of it, an overwhelming alliance of plants and of the molecular design of living cells. In these organic lines in embryonic stages, one can see mineral landscapes of the intergalactic space.
