In a way, Sheikh Majed Al-Sabah pays tribute to Tom Ford for being a source of inspiration that led him to launch TFK – The Fragrance Kitchen.
For this new 21st Century adventure, Sheikh Majed appealed to international artists for exclusive designs:
Geoffrey Mann – a Scottish artist fascinated by the ephemeral nature of time and motion, Li Edelkoort – the avantgarde trend forecaster and her Eindhoven Design Academy, Pieke Bergmans – the designer of the “Crystal Virus” series, Joost van Blesjwick – the creator of contemporary versions of forgotten objects, and Kiki Van Eijk – the poetic designer with a nostalgic approach.
With this scents’ universe, he writes his own history, in which his childhood memories, his journeys, his own experiences and his own destiny blend with elegance and joy.
In order to enshrine his olfactory memory he enjoyed bringing back to life the long lost Parisian “Belle Époque” period during which François Coty and Paul Poiret would appeal to the talents of designers to dream up the bottles of their elation.
The first collection coined “Signature line”, gives birth to 36 unisex and versatile fragrances identified by a simple number, so as to be worn as “every day ready to wear”.
